My stomach can rise to the occasion after a big meal…not my feet and hands. I departed Mud Hen Tavern and felt as bloated as when I was pregnant.

Unbeknownst to me, my husband delved deep and researched “Unusual Los Angeles Restaurants” to fulfill my foodie desires. He found n/naka in the unassuming Palms neighborhood and made a reservation.

Holy farm to table, Los Angeles has another fab place to dine. Karen and Quinn Hatfield closed down their very popular and critically acclaimed restaurant, Hatfield’s, on December 31st and last month opened a very different dining experience, Odys+Penelope Churrasco and Grill.
Santa Monica has really stepped up its’ food game of late. Interesting, creative and delicious fine food dining is happening in Santa Monica, offsetting intrusive construction on every block, hordes of homeless and traffic jams.
Some people are Looking For Love, the next best thing, the hottest new destination spot…I am food driven. I am always looking for the next great dining experience and sacrificing my body for my weekly restaurant reviews.
Please Note: As with many new restaurant ventures on Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica, Cadet has bitten the dust. What is up with me…I am on a positively positive streak in regard to my restaurant reviews.
In honor of our French friends, today’s food review is a fabulous, intimate restaurant close to the Place de la Republique where millions of supporters and over 40 world leaders gathered on Sunday in solidarity and support of the terrorist attacks in and around Paris last week. Sunday was a gorgeous winter day in New York City. We took the streets at 10am and headed downtown to Danny Meyer’s latest conquest, Marta juxtaposed in the lobby of the Martha Washington Hotel.
Our first day in Paris. We covered 10 miles by foot.

Sunday was cloudy and cool in New York City…perfect walking weather for a menopausal Manhattanite. We hit the pavement at 8:30 am and headed downtown to Bar Primi, a restaurant that has been on my bucket list for a few months.
Hot and trendy is always a kick. Tried and true can also be equally satisfying.
*Please note that the Malibu Pier restaurant has recently changed owners. The Devil no longer recommends the restaurant, although the view is breathtaking. **Saint Martha’s has closed. I prayed to the patron saint of cooks and servants and my wish was granted. Saint Martha heard my plea for a unique, delicious meal and she took mercy upon me.
