Affordable Omakase…NYC Restaurant Review

First Lobster rolls and now an affordable Omakase obsession.

Early voting was my mission last week. It was 6pm and on the way home I realized I was hungry.

At that moment, strolling Columbus Avenue on the Upper West Side, I happened to glance to my right and noticed a sushi bar I had never heard of.

What the hell, the pricing wasn’t outrageous so I moseyed in.

Sushi Masu is a pristine, intimate restaurant.

It was early and I was the only diner. After settling in the sushi chef explained that the fish is procured directly from the renowned Toyosu Fish Market, allegedly the epicenter of the world’s finest catches.

Dinner offerings include a $78 14-course Omakase meal as well as a 16-course $89 Omakase. There is also an extensive a la carte menu. On the weekends a 12-course $48 Omakase lunch menu is offered.

The sushi chefs were lovely, the omakase stellar and the price tag doable.

Take the tour and try Sushi Masu…I think you will be pleased.
