As I drift into the weekend before Christmas, I am thankful for my bougie lifestyle.

Since my powers do not extend to bringing about world peace, toppling governments, extinguishing antisemitism, eradicating climate change, banning guns and ridding the world of capri pants except for Rafa Nadal’s pants which he fills better than any other capri wearer, then I am going to be totally shallow and submit my self-serving happiness list.

I am thankful for the Florida pool as swimming is my favorite activity. I would like to thank the Marvelous Mermaids for enhancing the water experience.

I am extremely appreciative of the Club pour. What you cannot ignore is made more palatable by a hefty, well priced, dry martini with blue cheese stuffed olives.

I thank Mother Nature for Florida sunshine, not the state which is filled with Magettes, but its geographical positioning and gorgeous ocean.

I love squatting in Florida because it is all about the outdoor life…not camping, silly! I never connect with the news and only turn on the television for football.

I am grateful for my new Nook which is my most prized escape route.

It is priceless to have a Trader Joe’s within easy driving distance with $5.99 50 SPF sunscreen, good veggies, jammy butter cookies and gourmet jelly beans at cut rate pricing.

I am thankful for the restaurants on property so my cooking duties are tremendously curtailed.

I bow down and raise my feet to Tokyo Foot Spa where I can have life’s pressures literally rubbed away for $40.

I adore my king bed which easily fits into a non-Manhattan, generous square foot environment. I actually need an old fashioned compass to find my husband in the dark.

I thank the powers that be who placed the crystal blue warm ocean and white sandy beaches moments away. This is where I find inner peace as long as it is far from some young, tattooed self-serving male with a boom box the size of Agent Orange’s ass.
