Loopy For Lobster…New York Restaurant Review

The search for the perfect Hot Lobster Roll continues.

We hit the Hamptons and were on the hunt for a lobster roll we had not previously consumed.

Eureka. We scored at Bostwick’s Chowder House in East Hampton, New York.

It was an unusually warm and sunny late September Saturday afternoon.

We were carousing with our favorite doggie so sitting outside was a necessity.

The restaurant was packed and I found an empty self serve patio table.

We perused the menu and then went to the take out window to order.

A warm Lobster Roll was a must and it delivered in all its simplicity. Just sweet, succulent pieces of fresh lobster on a well toasted, buttered roll with a side of melted butter ($36).

The amazingly fresh Steamers were large with accompanying broth and butter ($34).

My husband selected New England Chowder which was rich and chock full of clams ($9.95).

He also ordered a Broiled Flounder sandwich that was very tasty served with crispy, delicious fries  ($17.95).

The only mistake was the pedestrian, tasteless Arugula Salad ($14.95).

The Montauk IPA was very good ($8), the weather gorgeous and the fresh seafood top notch.

What more could you ask for beyond world peace.
