Put A Little Love In Your Heart…

A sweet moment.

I do not know about you, but I am finding this country short on kindness.

I had a lovely moment yesterday.

I was out and about in the Sleek Beauty. She was in need of hydration.

We found a gas station with an extendable hose as the Sleek Beauty/Beast flaunts two gas tanks.

Hydration completed, I decided to pick up some Chinese food.

Finding good Chinese in South Florida is a challenge.

I was brought up on Boston Chinese which in my estimation is the best preparation.

Queen E. needed Boston Chinese in the same way mere mortals require oxygen to stay alive.

Many years ago she found Kingsbury in a dilapidated strip mall.

I headed there around 3pm. The restaurant was empty.

The affable owner greeted me warmly.

We chatted for a bit and then I proceeded to place my order. When I inquired about the Lobster sauce being prepared in a dark sauce he commented, “Boston style?!”

I answered affirmatively and reminded him my mom had been coming here for years.

He blurted out that he remembered her!

I must admit to getting a bit weepy.

While I waited, he brought over a cup of freshly brewed tea and when he carried out my food he said he gave me extra duck sauce and an egg roll.

The moment just hit me and I was moved by his kindness and thoughtfulness.

It takes so little to add sparkle to a day.

Spread the word and let’s do everything we can to be the polar opposite of the Ice vigilantes and the mean spirited, vindictive buffoons in the White House and Congress.

It really takes so little to light up a life…enjoy the weekend.
