¿Qué Pasa, Picasso?!…

Happy Monday…

Great weekend in the ‘burbs despite the very chilly weather.

Last week was outstanding until I landed back in the USA and had numerous doctor appointments. No wonder I suffer greatly from white coat syndrome. Thankfully, the issues are dealt with and now on to the next.

My apologies in advance for featuring another photo run. I cannot not share my Madrid cultural experiences as the city hosts three outstanding museums.

My visit to Museo National Thyssen Bornemisza and the Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía were awe inspiring. In particular, I just had to post the Picassos.

The Museo Nacional Thyssen Bornemisza is presenting a selection of masterpieces by Pablo Picasso that belonged to the German dealer and collector Heinz Berggruen and are now part of the holdings of the Museum Berggruen in Berlin.

While the building is closed for renovation, the Museum Berggruen has organised several international exhibitions, highlighting aspects of the collection.

Many of the Picassos I have never seen up close and personal.

The Reina Sofia, home to Picasso’s renown Guernica masterpiece, also displays a number of outstanding Picassos.

Enjoy!

That’s a wrap. When in Madrid, Spain the museums, including the legendary Prado, are all a must.
