Celebrate🥳…

Yesterday was mole mapping day.

Every six months I have a date with skin cancer destiny.

I have experienced multiple Mohs surgeries so I now wrap myself in bubble wrap and douse my body head to toe in SPF 50, never head outside without a hat and donning gloves.

Sadly, it is not about today’s proactive attitude, but my sunny past.

If you are in New York City I highly recommend the charming, affable, highly experienced Dr. Ungar at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Ungar is a board-certified dermatologist focusing on skin cancer, specializing in monitoring, detecting, diagnosing and treating of skin cancers. To augment traditional Total Body Skin Exams to detect skin cancers, he utilizes cutting-edge, non-invasive techniques.

I am thrilled to learn that for the first time in two years I do not need any biopsies.

I gleefully strolled home from East 98th Street and Fifth Avenue, stopping for a delicious large celebratory iced cappuccino at Butterfield Market, the former home of Dean and DeLuca on a gorgeous May day in Manhattan.

While I am being cancer focused, please schedule skin checks annually, plan for a yearly mammogram and after a certain age have a colonoscopy. The prep is not fun, but you experience the best 20 minute snooze of your life.

Be vigilant.

Which Dr. Ungar? Jonathan or Benjamin? In great need of a specialist! Thanks- both are listed at Mt.Sinai with same specialty.
