Fancy Free Friday and I am searching for little pleasures during this reign of terror.

I found complete joy in my new bread knife…best ever and only $16 on Amazon. Guaranteed pure delight.

Fresh corn and tomatoes. How sweet it is. If you can get to a farm stand in New York, Connecticut or New Jersey…run. The best.

I throw the corn on the grill for one minute and then rotate the ear for another minute. Alternatively, you can microwave for one minute.

Tomatoes. Cut thick slices and season with kosher salt. Let them marinate for 30 minutes or longer. Slather Hellmann’s Real mayonnaise on fresh bread or toast white, rye, multi grain, place the tomatoes on the bread and if you like, add some Buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil. The best!

I dislike the look of standard toilets. The knobs on the bottom of the toilet are ugly dust catchers. Not any longer. I found these adorable thingies that come in many shapes and colors for under $20.

My new look is just ducky.
