What a Mother of a weekend!!
Kicked off the Mother’s Day lalapalooza on Friday with flowers from my forever boyfriend, a date night at a new restaurant and a Broadway musical.
It was an honor to attend, Chess. Stupid story, great staging, kick ass orchestra and a rare privilege to witness unbelievable performances from Lea Michele, Aaron Tveit and Nicholas Christopher.
That trio can sing the pants off just about anyone.
Saturday was the preview of the 2026 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute spring exhibition entitled, Costume Art (review to follow).
That night I was generously and graciously wined and fined at one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in a long time.
Sunday dawned and we took a family stroll in Central Park and then enjoyed a delicious breakfast al fresco at the iconic Barney Greengrass, one of the best delis in New York City.
Highlighting the day, in addition to the company, was a stunning performance of Death of A Salesman starring Laurie Metcalf and Nathan Lane with an assist from Ben Ahlers, the adorable “Clock Twink” Jack from the Gilded Age, and Christopher Abbott.
What an incredibly loving and fun filled staycation, throw in a new NY Yankee cap, after theatre margaritas and chips, a NY Knicks playoff sweep and that’s a rap on an amazing Mother’s Day weekend with my incredibly loving, thoughtful family.
I am one lucky biatch.😎
