There are select restaurants that serve dinner along with a large portion of well seasoned ambiance.
Saint Bibiana, located in Savannah Georgia, is firmly in the latter category.
Boldly standing side by side next to the lush, slightly decadent orbit of Hotel Bardo, Savannah’s moss-draped historical buildings hook up with the Italian Riviera by way of a very well-funded fantasy.
Saint Bibiana doesn’t whisper, it poses.
A restored mansion featuring a crowd that feels equal parts locals, travelers, and people who summer somewhere, the restaurant leans into a convivial energy.
At its best, Saint Bibiana delivers exactly what you want from coastal Italian.
After being seated we were visited by the Bread Man who replaced the Can A Beer Here baseball pleb, delivering a novel bread service.

The first course was an enticing Crudo consisting of a luscious sliced fresh scallop on a Shinto pear base topped with Uni and shaved truffle and a hint of yuzu. This dish was the only slightly weak link as the truffle overwhelmed the natural seafood flavors ($26).
The Blue Crab was phenomenal. The crabmeat was sweet and flavorful served with snap peas, Jerusalem artichoke, chive and the brilliant addition of celery leaf with a limoncello vinaigrette ($23).
The Risotto special was prepared perfectly and highlighted by remarkable seasonal ramps, luscious lobster and a risotto preparation that rivals an Italian nonnas ($40).
The Mediterranean Branzino was exquisite. An outstanding flavor profile provided by fragrant oven- dried tomatoes complimented by Sicilian anise butter ($50).
Our dynamic server, Kristin, was spot on about every one of her recommendations.
Dinner was memorable.
Afterwards, we ascended the beautiful staircase to experience an after dinner drink upstairs at the Club Bardo.
I assumed it was a safe haven for adult cocktails at Saint Bibiana is the patron saint of hangovers and headaches so I was in protective, healing hands.
If you are visiting or living in Savannah Saint Bibiana serves up southern comfort along with a dollop of glam, credible creativity and delectable pasta and seafood fueled fabulosity.
